Exportconsultant: sectors and markets of specialization for the export of industrial SMEs

My contribution to the export of industrial SMEs working as Exportconsultant or Temporary Export Manager consists mainly in


>> commercial expansion into new Countries or new Industrial sectors

>> diversification of the supply chain and the customer base


Below I list the usual methods of my Business Development activity:


  • evaluation of Company positioning

  • orientation for commercial development

  • analysis and selection of target markets with the greatest potential

  • diversification of supply chains

  • Corporate branding for effective lead generation abroad

  • “on the job” training for Corporate export managers

  • creation and management of commercial networks

  • new customer acquisition, focus on large Organizations (OEMs)


For this purpose, I have developed a short coaching path for SMEs, in which I verify the effectiveness of their sales strategy, indicate improvement actions to get interest from new customers (lead generation), eliminate possible obstacles to business development and open new commercial channels.

Below I indicate the main industrial manufacturing sectors in which I usually operate: in most cases I am asked to acquire new customers or identify new application sectors for the products/services of industrial SMEs:


  • SUBCONTRACTING : precision mechanical machining, mechanical parts, mechanical fabrication. Reference countries: Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy.

  • MACHINERY: machinery for steel industry (long, flat, tubular products), rubber-plastics transformation, OIL & GAS, Power Energy. Reference countries: DACH area (Germany, Switzerland, Austria), France Italy.

  • MOULDS and RUBBER/PLASTIC MOULDING: molding of technical parts in rubber and plastic; molds for the transformation of rubber and plastic. Reference countries: DACH area (Germany, Switzerland, Austria), France, italy.

  • ELECTRICAL and ELECTRONIC: electromechanical components, MV-LV switchboards. Countries: various across Europe.

  • POWER TRANSMISSION: components for Hydraulics and Pneumatics (Fluid Power). Reference countries: DACH area (Germany, Switzerland, Austria), France, Italy.

  • FORGINGS and FOUNDRIES: forged, cast and die-cast parts for various industrial sectors; models for castings, prototyping. Countries: various across Europe.

  • SERVICES FOR INDUSTRY: surface treatments of metal products, electrical maintenance for machinery and plants. Countries: Italy.


If the target market is worldwide - as in the case of capital goods - I can identify and get the interest of operators wherever they are, therefore also in non-EU areas.


Finally, if the Company sells through the indirect channel, I can build the network of intermediates, whether they are agents, brokers, distributors and partner companies, creating the necessary contractual formulation.
